Jan. 1, 2012

Life is a TEAM event. Come race and help injured riders and their families. www.riderdown.org

A team race held on New Years Day at the Wildcat Ranch in Northwest Arkansas. Three hours of the best trails in Arkansas with a teammate that was randomly drawn before the race. All riders divided into two groups by skill level and one from each group per team.

National style start, endurocross, tight, fast you'll ride it all at Almosta Race.

The top ten teams take home custom, one of a kind trophies that are never the same year to year.

After the race all riders and spectators are treated to refreshments and a chili lunch. (Yes, there are adult refreshments....)

All proceeds from the race go to Rider Down to support injured riders and their families. ALL PROCEEDS! Every dime spent by racers and spectators goes to help injured riders and their families. Make your checks payable to Rider Down and it is tax deductible.

The best singletrack trails in the country, and a chance to purchase exciting one of a kind custom, and autographed merchandise in a silent auction.

Here is a short preview video for the 11th Annual Almosta Race.

Not all of the elements are in the course, but we were having so much fun we had to put them in the video. The footage was shot on both loops. There are a couple of big hills and rough elements in the video, but remember the whole B course has been ridden on a CRF100. The A course, well, it's a little more technical.

We already have the autographed Bubba Stewart and Travis Pastrana jerseys in hand, the local bicycle shop has donated a huge box of helmets and bicycles items including a mountain bike, the Coleman camping company sent a large group of camping stuff including, chairs, air beds, EZ UP, a 13x9 tent, ice chest, etc. Oury Grips has pitched in with 2 big boxes of grips, NGK has sent a big box of goodies to give out also. We also have the autographed Troy Lee helmet that Tom Webb (Dirt Bike Editor) used at this year's Ft Smith OMA. Area motorcycle shops are also donating items. Fly Racing stuff is on the way also. We have a package from Cowboy Kenny Bartram, and Guy "Airtime" Cooper also.

Dan Hirner and the crew at Bike Graphix have customized the numbers for the race this year and say they really look sweet ! They've also snagged us a Caleb Wohletz ISDE shirt/jersey for the auction. Thanks to you guys!

Nate & Bud at BulletProof Designs have always helped us out with items AND it seems that this year they may be able to make a return appearance to come race with us! We're looking forward to it as you guys have been absent to long!

A huge thanks to all of our donors for helping out in this fund raising event.

Looks like some of the Hillbilly Crew are coming down to to participate in this year's event and make the 'Border War' a 3 way battle!

A huge THANKS to all of the work crew and pre ride guys and gals, we couldn't do it without your help.

Come on day and spend the New Year with us at Wildcat Ranch & the 11th Annual Almosta Race. See ya then!

OK Almosta Fans & Riders-- Drum roll please........
Free-Style Legend (& Long time Almosta contributor & friend) "Cowboy" Kenny Bartram has teamed up with the the Almosta crew and has donated to this year's silent auction the opportunity for one lucky Almosta auction bidder to spend a day riding with the 10 Time X-Games and Gravity Games Medal winner at his Steel Rodeo compound in Oklahoma. Motocross, Supercross, Foam Pits, Ramps and fun will be the order of the day for winning bidder. When approached with the idea Kenny's answer was an enthusiastic " We can do this!" Final details will be in place by the time the auction date arrives. Almosta & Rider Down Foundation say THANK YOU KENNY !!!!!
